Objectives

This conference will:

  • Provide participants with an overview to the worldwide FSMA research from magnetomechanics to more recently discovered properties and phenomena including thin films and micro-systems, composites and constructs (including foams and mats), and caloric effects (including magnetocaloric and barocaloric effects).

  • Put emphasis on introducing the most current research, and enabling conversation.

  • Promote research on fundamental and applied aspects of FSMAs to advance use of this multifunctional material between potential academic and industry partners.

  • Use modeling and simulation from atomic to microscale to address theory, structure, and magnetism.
